Judo get timely boost for Mini South Pacific Games

Fiji Judo Association received a timely financial boast for its Mini South Pacific Games preparation with an undisclosed financial donation from Fiji’s only local General Insurer SUN Insurance.

In presenting the cheque to Judo Fiji, SUN Insurance CEO Lolesh Sharma wished the Association the very best for preparations.

Sharma, once a childhood training partner of Takawaya emphasized the self‑discipline & confidence the art brought to him as a young primary school student in Suva.

He encouraged parents to engage their children towards to this highly skilled art/sport which was once practiced by sporting & international world leaders namely former French rugby captain Thierry Dusautoir & the current Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Judo Fiji President Nacanieli Takayawa thanked SUN Insurance for its support and reiterated the need for young Fijians to take up the sport of Judo in Fiji which has a proven track record of producing high performance athletes & leaders.
