Marist Brothers High School sprinter Joseva Tabakaucoro is aiming to break his older brother’s 100 and 200 metres record in the Coca-Cola Games next month.
Joseva who is the younger brother of Banuve Tabakaucoro broke the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 2 Intermediate Boys 200 metres record yesterday with a manual time of 21.44 seconds while the old record was 22.17 seconds which was set in 2011.
The Coca-Cola Games Intermediate Boys 200 metres record is 21.70 seconds which was set by Banuve Tabakaucoro in 2009.
Meanwhile, Joseva also helped the Marist 4x400m relay team in breaking the Inter Boys record with a new time of 3 minutes 28 seconds.
The old record was 3 minutes 30 seconds.
He won three gold medals yesterday including 100, 200 and 4x400 metres relay.
The Coca-Cola Games will be held on April 20 and 21st.
