The Joseph Parker of last year would have struggled to beat Anthony Joshua.
Trainer Kevin Barry made that startling revelation in an interview with The Boxing Voice when discussing the highly anticipated heavyweight title fight.
But Barry said he expected Joshua to bring out the best in Parker and backed his fighter to deliver the performance of his professional boxing career in Cardiff.
The bout for Joshua's IBF, IBO and WBA belts, and Parker's WBO belt, would be just the second unification bout between two undefeated heavyweight champions and the first time two reigning heavyweight champions would face each other on British soil.
Their world heavyweight title unification bout will be held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on April 1st.
