Joe Ravudi Junior the son of former heavy weight boxing champion, Joe Ravudi is living his father’s dream of becoming a professional boxer.
Fighting in the Police colors in the Sukuna Bowl boxing competition last night, Ravudi recorded an impressive victory over Army’s Setareki Tuinaceva in the 75kg category winning on an unanimous points decision.
Ravudi said the hard work has paid off for him and this is a huge step towards achieving his dream.
The 21-year-old started his boxing career at the age of 16 and in 2011 he won silver for Fiji at the Pacific Games.
Meanwhile, the annual Sukuna Bowl rugby clash between Army and Police will be held at ANZ Stadium this Friday at 3pm and you can catch the live commentary of this match on our sister station Viti FM.
Army has top players like Emosi Mulevoro, Aisake Katonibau, Maikeli Mocetadra and Sunia Bainivalu while Police have Setefano Somoca, Ulaiasi Lawavou and Apisalome Waqatabu.
