Josh Ofahengaue, the father of Maroons debutant Joe Ofahengaue was emotional when his son called him to tell him that he has been chosen to represent the maroons in game 1 of the State of Origin.
Maroons debutant Joe Ofahengaue said to his father that he vowed to put their family name Ofahengaue back on the map once again.
Joe is the nephew of 1991 World Cup‑winning Wallaby star Willie Ofahengaue who was one of rugby union's most feared forwards in the 1990s.
Joe’s father Josh says ever since his son started playing he always puts on a big smile that illustrates that he cannot wait to play footy with his friends.
Game one of the State of Origin game will be held on the 5th of next month at 10pm.
