All Black Tim Perry broke his arm against the Blues in round one and could miss the entire regular season.
The Chiefs meet the Hurricanes at 6.35pm Friday while the Waratahs clash with the Brumbies at 8.45pm Friday.
On Saturday, the Stormers meet the Jaguares at 5.10am, the Reds meet the Sunwolves at 4.15pm while the Highlanders play the Crusaders at 6.35pm.
The Lions meet the Rebels at 1.05am Sunday.
