Fiji Airways Flying Fijians fly‑half Ben Volavola says it is encouraging to see young and local players doing well and pushing for a spot in the national team.

During a Question and Answer session at the Fiji Red Cross Charity Ball, Volavola says this improves the entire squad.

He says they bring the ideas together and without any ego they are able to expand their game and that is a testament to the results they have been getting in the last three years.

Volavola is expected to be a part of the national team when they play the Maori All Blacks.

Fiji plays the Maori All Blacks at 3pm next Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentary of the match on our sister station, Viti FM.
