As the All Blacks get ready to play the Wallabies in the Bledisloe and Rugby Championship opener, some rugby pundits are now questioning whether Kieran Read is a top captain.
Stuff.co, a leading sports website in New Zealand through an opinion say that the All Blacks have a number of questions to answer after the drawn series against the Lions.
The website says they want to know whether Kieran Read is a top captain, whether Sam Cane is worth his place on current form and if Beauden Barrett is quite the 10 that the world hopes he is.
They say the Read question should be top of the All Blacks' management list.
The first big question that Read has to be held accountable for is around his team's lack of discipline and it has cost the All Blacks victory in three tests matches over the past nine months.
Stuff.co says this is not a coincidence and such things did not repeat themselves under Richie McCaw.
The All Blacks will face the Wallabies at 10pm this Saturday in Sydney.
