Injury time goal saves Nadi from Dreketi

The Dreketi soccer team is doing wonders at the Inkk Mobile BOG as they held star-stud Nadi side 1-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park.

The northerners faced the same situation as yesterday when they were leading Suva till the last minute and the Whites equalised,  that was the same situation today when Dreketi led throughout the match until the last minute when Nadi equalised.

Vikranth Chandra scored for Dreketi in the 43rd minute while Lekima Gonerau saved the day for Nadi when he equalised in the injury time.

Dreketi Coach Johan Leewai says they were ready for the match today as he knew Nadi’s style of play.

Nadi captain Napolioni Qasevakatini was red carded in the second half due to off ball incident.

After this match,  Dreketi and Nadi have 2 points each after 2 games while Suva and Rewa have one point each from one match from Pool A.

The second match of day 2 is underway between Labasa and Nadroga as the northerners lead Nadroga 2-0 with goals coming from Ratu Anare and Leone Damudamu.
