Action between the Fiji Drua and the Queensland Country side

Indiscipline cost the Fiji Airways Drua their undefeated run in the NRC as they got thrashed by Queensland Country 55-22 at BB Print Stadium in Mackay in Australia.

Two yellow cards for the Fijian Drua gave more space on field for Queensland Country to continue their fierce attacking game.

There were also a lot of gaps in the Drua’s defence as centre Jordan Petaia got a hat trick.

Petaia was unstoppable as he broke through the Drua’s defense every time he got the ball near the try line.

Frank Lomani got a yellow card in the 23rd minute after a professional foul.

The Drua scored two tries in each half.

Apete Daveta crossed over for the game’s first try and just before the break the Drua were awarded a penalty try.

Apisalome Waqatabu and Ratu Naisa Navuma crossed over for the Drua in the second half.

Queensland Country led the Fijian Drua 38-12 at half time after running in 6 tries in the first half.

Queensland Country scored 8 tries in the match and they now top the table with 13 points while the Fijian Drua are in second place on the table with 10 points.

Meanwhile in other results, Brisbane City defeated the Sydney Rays 42-12 and Melbourne Rising thrashed the NSW Country Eagles 62-7.
