The St George Illawarra Dragons held off a strong second‑half comeback by the Cronulla Sharks to secure a 16-10 win.
The Dragons were leading 14-nil at half time and now remain one of the NRL frontrunners, with two wins in their opening three games.
In other weekend NRL results, the Raiders beat the Wests Tigers 46-6, the Sea Eagles defeated the Cowboys 30 points to 8, the Roosters edged the Panthers 14-12 and the Rabbitohs beat the Knights 24-18.
After Round 3 of the NRL, Melbourne Storm leads the standings with 6 points, the Roosters are in second place also with 6 points due to points difference and the Dragons are in third place with 4 points.
