Iceland with a population of just 330,000 has qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time after beating Kosovo 2‑0.
Keeping the momentum going from their inspiring run to the 2016 European Championship quarterfinals, Iceland topped Europe Group I and advanced automatically to the finals in Russia next year at the expense of favourites Croatia.
They have beaten Trinidad and Tobago's record (1.3 million) for being the previous smallest nation to play in the finals.
