“I haven’t applied for any job at the Fiji Rugby Union, but it is up to them now.”
Those were the words of Naca Saumi the man behind Ratu Kadavulevu School’s rugby success after he was asked if he is considering to apply his success to the national teams.
Saumi helped RKS in mapping out a vision and strategic plan which saw them winning all the grades last year and coming back winning five grades this year without the Under 17.
He says that his vision is to see players not only doing well in rugby but life after rugby.
He says that he has set out a system to help the RKS students get clear overseas contracts that includes high level education and good rugby career.
When asked if he has applied to FRU, Saumi adds that he has not applied but believes he has proven himself.
Meanwhile the Fiji Under 18 team has been named with 13 RKS players selected.
The Fiji Under 18 team will be playing against the Wellington Samoans, New Zealand Babarians and New Zealand Maori next month.
