The Hurricanes suffered a 28-20 loss to the Jaguares last night.
It was their first loss at home to an overseas opponent since 2015.
Without the rested Beauden Barrett to steer the ship, the Hurricanes lacked a bit of their usual attacking spark, and that problem was worsen by an inefficient line-out and some poor discipline at the breakdown.
In another match last night, the Bulls defeated the Rebels 32-17.
Today, the Blues meet the Chiefs at 7.35pm while the Reds meet the Waratahs at 9.45pm.
Tomorrow, the Lions face the Highlanders at 1.05am while the Stormers will take on the Crusaders at 3.15am.
