Konrad Hurrell's contract with the New Zealand Warriors has been terminated.
He was also part of the group of Warriors players who were stood down earlier this year for mixing medication and energy pills with their training drinks.
Hurrell was also involved in an off‑field controversy in 2014, when he videoed himself as part of a sex act while driving.
The 24-year-old may join another NRL team in Australia or he could make a return to rugby union.
Konrad Hurrell has made 71 NRL appearances for the Warriors since his debut in 2012.
Meanwhile, the Broncos will face the Wests Tigers at 9.50pm tomorrow.
