Jamie Joseph and his men are aware they can end 20 years of frustration for the Highlanders supporters by beating the Hurricanes in the Super Rugby final tonight.
Rather than flying into the capital too early, Joseph arranged for his players to avoid the hype by staging their captain’s run in Dunedin before making their way to Wellington yesterday.
Joseph says the Highlanders will utilize their ball runners in a slight differently manner by asking them to run up the guts more.
Just as the Highlanders want to send co‑captain and No 8 Nasi Manu out with a bang, the Hurricanes are desperate to farewell Ma’a Nonu and Conrad Smith as winners.
The Hurricanes will take on the Highlanders at 7.35 tonight in the Super Rugby final.
