Highlanders outscore Brumbies

Tries from Ben Smith and Lima Sopoaga have helped the Highlanders to a 13 point win over the Brumbies in their Super Rugby match last night.

The defending champions outscored the Brumbies two tries to one in the 23‑10 victory.

In another match, Cory Jane and Julian Savea scored two tries each as the Hurricanes produced an impressive first‑half performance to crush the Lions 50‑17.

The Hurricanes scored seven tries in the match.

The Queensland Reds have also recorded their second win of the Super Rugby season with a 30‑17 victory over the Cheetahs.

Looking at other results, the Blues beat the Rebels 36-30, Chiefs edged the Sharks 24-22, Bulls defeated Western Force 42-20 while the Waratahs beat the Stormers 32-30.
