Highlanders hooker Liam Coltman will remain in New Zealand until at least the end of 2019.
The 27-year-old has resigned with New Zealand Rugby and the Highlanders for two more years, joining Ben Smith in re-committing to the team this year.
The Highlanders confirmed Coltman, who made his test debut during the All Blacks' 68-10 win against Italy in Rome last November, opted to extend his time with the team.
The Highlanders meet the Rebels at 6.35pm Friday, the Blues face Western Force at 4.15pm Saturday, the Chiefs clash with the Bulls at 6.35pm Saturday and the Waratahs will face the Crusaders at 6.05pm Sunday.
