Highlanders defeat Stormers while Rebels crush Brumbies

Action between the Highlanders and the Stomers

All Blacks halfback Aaron Smith scored a double for the Highlanders as they beat the Stormers 33‑15 in a five‑try Super Rugby win last night.

The Stormers have lost their past 10 games in New Zealand, and have just one win from four matches this season.

The Highlanders led 19‑15 at halftime.

Meanwhile, the Melbourne Rebels have maintained their lead at top of the Australian Super Rugby standings with a hard fought 33‑10 win over the Brumbies.

Henry Speight scored a try for the Brumbies.

In other matches, the Hurricanes will meet the Crusaders at 6.35 tonight, the Reds will meet the Bulls at 8.45 tonight.

Tomorrow, the Sharks will meet the Sunwolves at 1.05am, the Blues will meet the Lions at 3.15am while the Waratahs will face the Jaguares at 9.40am tomorrow.
