There has been a higher rate of development in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team ahead of the Hamilton 7s this weekend.
Coach Gareth Baber says there is a good balance between developing and experienced players in the team that has travelled to Hamilton this morning to defend their title.
Baber highlighted the biggest challenge they face is being consistent and keeping the boys focused at all times.
He adds that while everyone in Fiji wants the team to succeed, his aim is to keep the team focused on the task at hand.
Baber has picked his team looking at individual experience, fitness and motivation while he continues working on development.
He says that they have been training at the Sigatoka Sand Dunes adding that players know they benefit from this.
Fiji will take on Wales in their first match of the Hamilton 7s at 10.52am Saturday, they will then face Argentina at 2.42pm and will take on Australia at 6.52pm in their last pool game this Saturday.
The Cup quarters will start at 10.36am this Sunday, the semifinals will kick off at 3.16pm and the final will start at 7.10pm this Sunday.
