There will be a big celebration at the Hideaway Resort and Spa tonight for the players from Hideaway Hurricanes who won gold at the Rio Olympics.
Jasa Veremalua and Apisai Domolailai who play for the Hideaway Hurricanes, and Viliame Mata and Kitione Taliga who used to play for the Hurricanes will be at the celebrations.
Hideaway Hurricanes team manager Moape Tuinuku says Alivereti Veitokani, Amenoni Nasilasila and Nemani Nagusa will also be part of the event.
Tuinuku says the gold medal winning players will be given $2,000 each while, Nagusa, Veitokani and Nasilasila will get $1,000 each for making the training squad for the Olympics.
He says Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou will also be present as he will be unveiling two plaques, where one will be for the four Olympians and the other for their other players who have represented Fiji in the 7s and 15s national teams.
The budget of the function is around $25,000 which has been given by the hotel and they have also invited other resort managers along the Coral Coast.
