Former Fiji Bati and Parramatta Eels sensation Jarryd Hayne and Dragons star Jack De Belin, two biggest names in the NRL facing the most serious sexual assault allegations will be in the news cycle this week when they make their returns to court.
Hayne’s lawyer, Ramy Qutami, has left for San Francisco to do some work on the case Hayne is facing in the United States.
The jury trial is set down for January 27, 2020.
Meanwhile, De Belin has said nothing to anyone about his aggravated sexual assault case, not even his closest mates.
It is interesting to note that while Hayne is without an NRL club for 2019, De Belin was included in all of the Dragons’ team marketing for this season, including the team photo.
The NRL season will kick off on the 14th of next month with the Storm hosting the Broncos at 8.50pm.
