Wallabies coach Michael Cheika cannot resist an attack at the All Blacks before tomorrow’s showdown at Eden Park.
Cheika made four changes to his backline - dropping Quade Cooper to the bench and shifting Bernard Foley to the first five‑eighth role while Rebels utility Reece Hodge partners with Reds centre Samu Kerevi and Henry Speight coming onto the wing.
Meanwhile, All Blacks coach Steve Hansen predicted the majority of the backline tweaks yesterday, despite Cheika delaying his team naming until today.
When he was asked by New Zealand news website, stuff.co.nz on how he thought Hansen knew about the changes, Cheika than said that since there is no bug in their hotel, Hansen must have had someone watching them.
Cheika says the delay in team naming was to assess injuries, the likes of David Pocock who will also make his return via the bench.
The All Blacks will play the Wallabies at 6.35pm tomorrow at Eden Park where the Wallabies have not tasted victory since 1986.
