Jolts of cheers rang across the grounds of Delanakaikai as students, teachers, parents, family and friends of the RKS fraternity celebrated their historic Deans win today.
More than 2000 people gathered at the RKS school ground to celebrate win.
Old Scholars sponsored the cash prizes that were presented to the various grades from U14 U19 to acknowledge the hard work put in by the teams that earned them their victory.
The senior students of the school also performed a traditional ceremony of welcome to the Permanent Secretary for Education Iowane Tiko who was the Chief Guest.
School Principal Peni Senikarawa said they were happy with the turn out at the celebrations.
Also part of the celebrations were the students from QVS along with the QVS old boys association and the ACS old girls association.
RKS U18 Captain, Taniela Yabakidrau says today was a day to celebrate their win and show their appreciation to the school and parents for all their support.
The 18-year-old is part of the National U18 team that will depart next Sunday to tour Australia.
Yabakidrau says that winning not just the U18 but all the grades has been the highlight of his final year in Lodoni.
RKS dominated the Deans competition last month, winning all grades from U14 to U19.
