Fiji Bati winger Akuila Uate says he turned negatives into positives and remained optimistic when he switched from the New Castle Knights to the Manly Sea Eagles.
While speaking to Fijivillage, Uate says with all the criticism with his switch, the most important thing for him now is his new team, his family and friends as these were the things that kept him going.
Uate says the players that have been named in the Fiji Bati team to the Tri Nations series and the Rugby League World Cup will surely do a good job with the experience they bring with them.
The 29-year-old will also be featuring for the Fiji Bati in the Tri Nations test series as they will take on the Kangaroos Rugby World Cup team and the PNG team.
The Tri Nations Test series will be played on October 14 at the ANZ Stadium while the Rugby League World Cup will be held from October 26 to December 2nd.
