Former New Zealand Sevens player Warwick Lahmert has been named in the England 7's team for the New Zealand Sevens Tournament.
Lahmert is set to line up against his former New Zealand team‑mates after taking advantage of the new Olympic eligibility rules to switch allegiance.
England are without some key players including Dan Bibby, Sam Blanchet, Sam Stanley, Phil Burgess, Callum Wilson and Dan Norton who is on compassionate leave.
The last time England won the New Zealand 7's was in 2013 when they edged Kenya 24-19 in the final.
England is pooled with New Zealand, Canada and Kenya.
The New Zealand 7's will be held next Friday and Saturday with the Vodafone 7's team pooled with Australia, Wales and Portugal.
