Former Chiefs coach Dave Rennie is Rugby Australia's first‑choice option to replace Michael Cheika after this year's Rugby World Cup.
This is according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
Rennie, achieved unprecedented success with the Chiefs during his tenure in New Zealand, winning the side's only two Super Rugby championship titles before leaving for Scottish side Glasgow Warriors in 2017.
Sydney Morning Herald, notes that Rugby Australia are set on Rennie taking over from Cheika after this year, with the current coach contracted through to the end of 2019.
