Fiji Airways Flying Fijians Coach John McKee is expected to release a statement to explain why defence Coach, Peter Ryan is no longer part of the coaching team.
Ryan who is also the current Queensland Reds Defence Coach announced on social media that his role with the Flying Fijians has ended.
He said on LinkedIn that he was disappointed when he was informed by McKee that the Fiji Rugby Union have overspent their Rugby World Cup budget and that led to him being scratched out.
Ryan further said he was expecting to achieve something special with Fiji at this year’s World Cup in Japan and has also wished the Flying Fijians well.
The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians will play two international tests against the Maori All Blacks before the Rugby World Cup.
Fiji is pooled with Wales, Australia, Georgia and Uruguay at the Rugby World Cup which will kick off on September 21st in Japan.
