Defending Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s champions, First Light Taveuni has lost about seven of their experienced players heading in the tournament this year.
Team Manager, Sakiasi Veitogavi has confirmed they are only left with two players that were part of the winning team last year.
He says majority of the players have joined another Taveuni team which First Light defeated during the Fiji Bitter Wairiki Sevens final.
Veitogavi says the new players are well prepared as they have proven their worth by reaching the final of the Raka 7's and winning the final of the Fiji Bitter Wairiki Sevens.
Sixteen men’s teams have been confirmed for the tournament this month.
Organisers say they will have the USA stars side, Tonga Marist 7s team and the Hong Kong 7s team taking part in the tournament.
The total prize money pool for the tournament is $76,000 with $20,000 being the prize money for the men’s competition.
The Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s will be held from next Wednesday to Saturday at Lawaqa Park.
Meanwhile, the Sydney 7s will be held from the 26th to the 28th of next month.
