The Fiji Airways Fijiana have lost to Ireland 31-10 in their first pool match in the HSBC Kitakyushu 7s tournament.
A try each by Vasiti Solikoviti and Ana Maria Naimasi was not enough for the Fijiana to overcome a strong and defensive Irish side.
The Fijiana were trailing 19-5 at halftime.
