Fiji Airways Drua Head Coach, Senirusi Seruvakula has released the names of the twenty six players that will represent Fiji for the first two matches that will be played in Australia in the 2017 National Rugby Championship.
The selection sees a good combination of experienced and young players who have either represented the Flying Fijians, Fiji Warriors and FRU’s Provincial Competition and the team will play their first match against Brisbane City at Ballymore stadium in Brisbane, when the season kicks off this Saturday.
John Stewart has been named to captain the side.
The 2017 NRC competition will be contested over nine rounds and will run for 11 weeks, with four games hosted in Fiji.
The Fiji Airways Drua will fly out today and will kick off their season opener on Saturday against Brisbane City at Ballymore in Brisbane at 5pm.
