Fiji to send 3 teams to upcoming international sevens tournaments

Fiji will be sending three teams to the upcoming international sevens tournaments in Germany, USA and Australia later this month, next month and November.

Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber confirms that the Fiji Barbarians 7s team has been selected and will leave for Germany on Sunday to play at the Oktoberfest 7s in Munich next Saturday and Sunday.

Baber says that former national sevens Saiasi Fuli will be taking the team to Munich.

Meanwhile Baber was impressed with the two Drua wingers Apete Daveta and Eroni Sau and is looking forward to watching them this week in the NRC.

With the Oceania 7s to be held again in Fiji in November, Baber says this is a good path for them to build up for the Dubai and South Africa 7s.

The Oktoberfest 7s will be held next Saturday and Sunday with the Fiji Barbarian pooled with Australia, Chile and Ireland in Pool C.
