The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side will face Spain in the second cup quarterfinal of the Cape Town 7's after edging England 21-19 in their last pool match this morning.

Fiji had a slow start with a few missed tackles but responded with a try from Meli Derenalagi in the second minute of the game.
Aminiasi Tuimaba scored Fiji’s second try in the fourth minute cutting through the English defence.
With a yellow card to Vilimoni Botitu in the fifth minute for a deliberate knock on, it also opened up a gap for England to score their first try at the stroke of half time bringing the points 14-7 in favour of Fiji.
Fiji displayed great defensive structure in the second half and did not let England through.
Fiji scored their last try through Jerry Tuwai to take Fiji’s lead to 21-7.
England later scored two tries but was not enough to overcome the Fijians.
Fiji’s Captain Kalione Nasoko says they are now looking forward to the elimination round.

Fiji earlier defeated Kenya 38-7 while they thrashed France 50-0.
Jerry Tuwai scored two tries against France to reach 100 World 7's Series tries.

Fiji’s defence has improved however discipline is still an issue where Fiji got two yellow cards in the pool matches.
Meli Derenalagi was flashed a yellow card in the match against Kenya for a deliberate knock on.
Meanwhile, Samoa created the biggest upset of the night defeating New Zealand 21-17 while Spain edged Argentina 35-12.
In the last round of pool matches, New Zealand came from behind to beat South Africa 26-21, Samoa beat Zimbabwe 33-12, USA beat Argentina 31-14, Spain beat Japan 52-0, France beat Kenya 19-12 and Australia beat Scotland 26-14.

The first cup quarterfinal will be between South Africa and Scotland at 11.04 tonight, Fiji will face Spain at 11.26pm in the second quarter-final, Australia will then take on New Zealand at 11.48pm while USA will take on England at 12.10am tomorrow.
The Cup Semifinals will start at 3.34am tomorrow and the Cup Final will be played at 6.44am tomorrow.
