Fiji soccer captain, Roy Krishna has joined the 4FJ movement and has asked his fans to not to eat Kawakawa and Donu during their peak breeding months.
Krishna has taken the 4FJ pledge not to eat, buy or sell Kawakawa and Donu during their peak breeding months which is June through September.
Krishna said he comes from an Indian background and loves Kawakawa curried and spicy, especially his mother’s home‑cooked ones saying that is normally the first thing he eats when he goes home.
He said he does not want to come back to a Fiji where he cannot eat his mum’s Kawakawa fish curry and that is why he is asking the people of Fiji to get behind this campaign.
More than 9,000 people have publicly pledged across the country with many more taking the pledge privately.
