The Technical Advisor of the Vodafone Fiji Under 20 soccer team, Frank Farina said they are now preparing to face some of the biggest soccer playing nations in the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in May next year.
Farina who is the former Australian soccer player and coach said the tour to Australia and New Zealand is geared up to expose the players to a totally different level.
He said they are also planning a possible trip to the USA and Middle East next year.
The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 soccer team will play in the OFC President’s Cup from the 17th to the 23rd of next month in New Zealand and will play pool matches against Amicale FC of Vanuatu and Busaiteen of Bahrain.
The team will first fly out to Australia this Sunday where it will play some warm up matches against youth A-league teams.
