The Fiji men’s volleyball team has lost 3 sets to 1 to New Zealand in their third pool game of the Oceania Volleyball Championship that is currently being held in New Caledonia.
New Zealand had dominated the game in the 1st and 2nd set but Fiji had come back strongly in the 3rd set but couldn’t stay in control as New Zealand took back the 4th set extend their lead and win the game.
Fiji had earlier defeated New Caledonia team 2, 3 sets to 0 in their first pool game, Fiji also defeated Wallis and Futuna 3-0 in their second pool match.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Women’s Volleyball team will face Tahiti today in their last pool game with both the men’s and women’s semifinals to be held tomorrow.
