The Fiji men’s and women’s weightlifting teams have qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics in August.
They achieved their targeted placing’s at the Oceania Weightlifting Championship and will now be able to select representatives for the Rio Olympics.
The women’s weightlifting team finished third at the Oceania Weightlifting Championship while the Men’s team finished in fourth place.
Fiji men’s weightlifting team needed to finish in the top five and the women’s in the top four to qualify for Rio.
Australia claimed the top spot in the Women’s category at the Oceania Weightlifting Championship while Samoa finished first in the Men’s category.
