The Fiji U21 Netball team lost 69-33 to Australia in their first match of the Digicel / Punjas International Youth Netball Series at the Vodafone Arena.
Fiji scored 7 goals in the first two quarters, 6 goals in the third quarter and finished the final quarter with 13 goals.
Fiji U21 Coach Vicki Wilson was pleased with Fiji’s performance as the girls came back strong to win the final Quarter.
Wilson says the challenge is to look for consistency and produce it in all quarters of the game.
Meanwhile Fiji Pearls Captain Episake Kahatoka says they enjoyed playing against a very good Australian side.
In the earlier game, New Zealand thrashed Samoa 85-19
The Fiji U21 Netball team will now face Samoa at 4.00pm today while Australia U21 play New Zealand at 6.40pm at the Vodafone Arena.
