Fiji holds Solomon Islands in OFC U17 Championship

Fiji U17 soccer team.

The Fiji U17 soccer team held Solomon Islands 1-1 in their first pool match in the OFC U17 Championship in Tahiti.

Fiji made a dream start when Ratu Dau opened the scoring in the 2nd minute.

Fiji led 1-0 till the breather.

Solomon Islands started the second half strongly and equalized in the 51st minute through Ellis Mana.

The side is also pooled with New Zealand and Samoa.

New Zealand thrashed Samoa 11-0 earlier today.

Meanwhile, 3 games will be played in the Vodafone Premier League this weekend.

Nadi will play Labasa at 1.30pm Saturday at Subrail Park and then play Dreketi at 3pm Sunday.

Suva will play Rakiraki at 3pm Sunday at the ANZ Stadium.
