Fiji draws with Vanuatu in opening Pacific Games soccer match

The Fiji Under 23 soccer team came back to draw 1-1 with Vanuatu in its first pool match of the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea this afternoon.
Fiji was trailing 1-0 at halftime.
Suva soccer midfielder Nickel Chand who came in as a substitute player scored Fiji's equalizer midway in the second half.
Fiji's next pool match will be against the Federated States of Micronesia at 12pm Sunday.
