Being a role model to the team and captain is a big challenge.
Fiji women's 7s captain, Ana Maria Roqica says that she was happy and honored to be named as part of the Fiji womens 7s team to the Olympics but realises the responsibility that comes with it.
Roqica says that often times she realises the pressure of having the team look up to her during training sessions, on and off the field as well.
She adds that although the team struggled with training, they hope that it will be enough to bring home a medal.
Roqica adds that the team has a tough pool game where the strength of the team will be fully tested.
The Fiji women's 7s team are currently in Chile for a week long training session before heading to the Rio Olympics.
Fiji will play USA at 4am on August 7th in their first pool match. They will then take on Australia at 9.30am on the same day.
