Fiji White wins Ovalau 7s

Fiji White has won the Pacific Energy Ovalau 7's after defeating Wardens Gold 19-0.

Coach Ben Ryan was expecting a better result but was happy with their defense which they were working on this week.

Fiji White has also walked away with $8,000.

Looking at the results from the quarterfinals, Fiji White thumped Saint John 52-0, Wardens Gold beat Tauranga 27-0, Fiji Black defeated Yamacia 13-0 while Yasawa Stingers beat Waqavuka 7-5.

In the semifinals, Fiji White outclassed Yasawa Stingers 24-5 while Wardens Gold beat Fiji Black 15-7.

Meanwhile Ryan is expected to name his 12 member squad for the Gold Coast Sevens next Monday.
