The Telecom Fiji Warriors has defeated Uruguay 30-22 in their first match of their tour early this morning.
Warriors captain Isireli Ledua led the charge for Fiji as he crossed over for the first try while Api Naikatini and vice-captain Eroni Vasiteri scored a try each before half time.
Fiji led Uruguay 17-3 at half time as they utilize their fast pace backline to outclass the host.
The national side continued their momentum in the second half when the captain scored another try before Suva winger Nacani Wakaya scored the last try for Fiji.
Team Manager Dan Domoni says they have some difficulties on the cold weather as they switch their focus on the much tougher Argentina Pampas side on Thursday.
He says most of the Argentina Pumas players are expected to feature for the Pampas.
