Close to 10,000 people turned out at the ANZ Stadium last night to take advantage of the free entry of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge when the Telecom Fiji Warriors beat Junior Japan 44-14 in the second round of the tournament.
Fiji led the Japanese 28‑0 at half time but the visitors managed to score 14 points in the second half.
Warriors Manager, Dan Domoni says he was disappointed as discipline let them down late in the second half.
Johnny Dyer was shown yellow card for lifting a player while Joeli Veitayaki was red carded for a dangerous tackle. Serupepeli Vularika was also yellow carded for a dangerous tackle.
Domoni adds they will work on their weaknesses. He says aimless kicking by Fiji gave away possession.
The Telecom Fiji Warriors will take on Tonga A at 6pm Thursday at the ANZ Stadium.
In another game yesterday, Samoa A thrashed Tonga A 50-nil.
