The Fiji Warriors have gone to a flying start in their World Rugby Pacific Challenge campaign after defeating Samoa A 33-21.
A last try to captain Mosese Voka sealed a bonus point win for the home side as they outmuscled the strong Samoan side.
The Warriors were leading 21-9 at half time with three converted tries from fullback Inia Tawalo, inside center Waisale Urabuta and outside center Apisalome Vota.
Samoa came back strongly in the second half with two quick tries to prop Howard Sililoto and half back Melani Matavao which levelled the scores to 21-all.
The Warriors put on another gear to score two more tries from winger Veramu Dikidikilati and captain Mosese Voka.
Meanwhile in another match, Junior Japan thrashed Tonga A 46-28.
The Fiji Warriors will now meet Junior Japan at 5pm next Tuesday while Samoa A will take on Tonga A at 2.30pm.
Both games will be held at the ANZ Stadium.
