The Fiji Under 23 soccer team will play two warm up matches against the Wellington Phoenix Development side at the end of this month which will serve as a build up to the Pacific Games.
This will be the only time for Fiji soccer coach, Carlos Buzzetti to test his combination, unlike other sports as a totally new team is being assembled because of the change in format.
When asked about the chances of Fiji winning gold in soccer, Buzzetti says he is yet to see the fixtures and tournament format.
Meanwhile, a number of Vodafone National Under 20 players are expected to make the team to Papua New Guinea and he will name the team when the side returns from New Zealand.
Fiji last won gold in soccer in the 2003 Pacific Games in Suva.
The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of next month.
