The Fiji under 18 7s side will now take on Kenya in the bronze medal match of the Youth Olympic Games in China at 1.30 this afternoon.
This is after the side lost three matches in their pool.
Fiji lost to Argentina 21-0 and was then beaten by France 17‑12.
We lost our last pool match against Kenya by 17‑12 yesterday.
France will play Argentina in the gold medal match at 2.30pm.
Fiji swimmer Meli Malani failed to qualify for the semifinal of the mens 50m freestyle yesterday.
Despite finishing second in his heat, he failed to clock a fast time.
He will be competing in the 50m butterfly at 2.09pm today.
Meanwhile, the Fiji women’s hockey side lost their third pool match as they went down 2‑8 to South Africa last night.
The side will face Japan at 10 tonight.
