The Fiji Special Olympics team have collected 7 medals in the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
From this 7 medal, 3 gold medals were collected from Robert Ceril Rabaka in the 50m freestyle, Vasemaca Nahehe in the 1500m run and Acakurumi Nakavulevu Turagakece in the 1500m open water swimming.
Fiji also bagged 3 silver medals from Poasa Gonemaituba in table tennis singles, Masilina Mara in the 50m freestyle and Misilo Gary Nakabi in the 100m backstroke.
Viniana Likucaucau got a bronze medal in shot put with a throw of 3.54m.
Fiji is competing in 4 sports that include, athletics, football, swimming and table tennis.
The 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games is being held at Abu Dhabi from the 14th of this month to the 21st of next month.
