Fiji Residents aim to field six local players in the final Fiji Bati squad

The Fiji Residents side cleaning up Lami Town foreshore today

The Fiji Residents is aiming to field six local players in the final 24 Vodafone Fiji Bati squad to the Rugby League World Cup next month.

Residents coach Joe Dakuitoga says their aim after the last World Cup is to try and increase the number of local players to play at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Residents players helped the Lami community in a clean-up campaign along the Lami foreshore and Tikaram Park today.
