The Fiji Pearls have qualified for the Netball World Cup 2019 following their 55-34 victory over Papua New Guinea in the Oceania Regional Qualifier.
The Pearls opened up a commanding 20‑5 lead in the first quarter which was never overturned.
Papua New Guinea won the third quarter 11‑10, however, Fiji’s lead was too strong finishing with the final score 55-34.
Fiji now has qualified for their sixth consecutive Netball World Cup.
Another team that has qualified from the Oceania Regional Qualifier is Samoa after they defeated Cook Islands 50-45.
The Fiji Pearls will now take on Samoa in the final day of the competition to determine who qualifies in first place while the Cook Islands will end their campaign when they meet Tonga.
